• The On-Line Books Page — Archive at the U. of Pennsylvania.
• Project Gutenberg — Wonderful archive of the major works of literature. Also see the Gutenberg Master Index of Frederick Roeber.
• Internet Classics Archive, Daniel C. Stevenson — Archive of ancient Greek and Roman works.
• The Library of Economics and Liberty — Project of the Liberty Fund.
• Center for Research Libraries — Single-query search of multiple library catalogs, useful for finding books available on Inter-Library Loan (ILL). Service of the University of Chicago.
• Humanities Text Intitiative — Archive of digital renderings of many books at the University of Michigan, but in somewhat rough state.
• American War Library — Includes millions of pages of data, statistics, documentation and files on all of America's military missions, and the largest publicly accessible database of names, addresses and information on American veterans and active-duty personnel going back to The Revolutionary War.
